Up All Night

Today I am reminded to practice gratitude. Life is good. It feels rough when we’re averaging around 4 hours of sleep per night and it’s really catching up with me. It’s not to say that Jarvis isn’t sleeping…he is! He slept for 9 hours straight last night! That isn’t typical. Let’s hope it will be, though.

James and I relished having some time together just hanging out last night. We also checked in with the debate via live streaming online. If we hadn’t stayed up so late we would be well rested. But, who wants to go to bed at 7:30pm? These are some pics of me and my boy this past weekend.

Here’s little J hanging out on the porch of the Yoga Barn at Split Rock Farm in Ivy where James attended a weekend-long Yoga conference led by David Swenson. We enjoyed a picnic lunch on the farm in the sunshine.

Thanks to Margaret for this great little gem. Art Garfunkel doing Jobim. Love it!!!

Wonderful! Beautiful pictures. Some been-there-done-that mommies told me that there’s an adjustment period of two years for every new mommy. Now that I’m getting close to two years, I can tell you it’s true! Meanwhile, learn what you can from the discomfort of changing roles. And give each other plenty of breaks and cuddles!

Two years seems to make a lot of sense…no wonder so many people are 2 or 3 years apart in age from their siblings 🙂 Hope you all are doing well!!
