Time is dragging. I vacillate between total excitement and energy and a feeling of having so much to do! and a lethargic ennui that causes me to either stare off into space or tear up or freak out / worry. I am officially in the 38th week, the baby’s head is in zero station and we are both progressing as we should. Waiting, waiting, waiting….The song below is soooo my song today.

It’s funny how life contains all of these pockets of waiting in anticipation. At every age none of us are immune to it. We always want to be at that next place, that next phase of life. Even though MOST of where I am is just perfect and I am content…it seems there is always something to attain, right? I can’t wait to meet this sweet little one. I can’t wait to live life with our son in person. But, I’m trying to be still and just enjoy these last few weeks of where we are now. The lyrics to this great song are below from my new favorite album “Skying” by The Horrors. I know that James and I are about to embark on a great adventure, but I also know that it will soon settle down and we’ll be in a groove and things will be “normal” again. Then we’ll be so excited for each phase of life our children go through.

Still Life – The Horrors

Under a sky, no one sees,
Waiting, watching it happening.
Don’t hurry, give it time,
Things are the way they have to be.
Slow down, give it time,
Still life, you know I’m listening.
The moment that you want is coming if you give it time

When you wake up, when you wake up,
You will find me
When you wake up, when you wake up,
You will find me

Under a sky, no one else sees,
yourself appears in front of me
The sky clears, the sun hits I’m here,
Waiting, it’s happening.
The moment that you want is coming if you give it time

When you wake up, when you wake up,
You will find me
When you wake up, when you wake up,
You will find me

Thanks Melissa! I should post some more…we’re still waiting for baby. I guess now I’ve decided he’s probably coming on his due date and not early as I originally thought.
