Image taken with Instagram in the bathroom…I know.
But I do like this image because it shows just how much bigger I have gotten in the last few weeks. And this photo was taken 2 weeks ago.
We’re 27 weeks along which means that there are only 13 weeks left until our baby is supposed to make his debut! Throughout the pregnancy I’ve become more and more impatient to have this little one in my arms and just GET on with LIFE…this life we’ve been preparing for! For me, the pregnancy has been uncomfortable. I have found it difficult to “enjoy it” as something in an of itself.
Now that I feel the baby moving and kicking (and even hiccuping) all throughout the day, on a daily basis, it’s more real than ever. Something so mundane as “pregnancy” or “starting a family” is now this ultra personal thing to James and I, and this baby already is so much a part of our daily life. Is already loved. It’s hard not to want the days to fly by, or to daydream about June. But on the other hand, we have a lot of things to finish preparing before he gets here. Basics to buy. We want to get our house in optimal shape and have already started organizing, cleaning and selling things we have been meaning to for a while.
Little projects are getting done each weekend; we replaced our car with something baby safe (and much nicer). As of this week our linen closet and medicine / toiletries closet have been organized into multiple bins and baskets and we have a nice surplus of toilet paper, kleenex, lotion, shampoo and other things. I cleaned our side porch, the bathroom sink has been fixed, our landlord has prepared a plot for our tomatoes, basil and lettuce. The nursery is almost there. Oh there is so much more to be done…The office…the laundry room…donate stuff…organizing…
