Introducing the Colors Mixes

We’re posting color-themed mixes once a week for all 4 or 5 of our sporadic readers. Who cares that nobody reads this blog? Its fun! If you stumble upon these, I hope you enjoy them.

I’m putting one up tomorrow today based on the color made up of all colors (I thought this would be a good place to start):

I thought *white* was the color made of all colors, and black the color made up of *no*colors… ?

I have a number of playlist sketches that date back to a time when I used to post playlists; one was bands with ‘black’ in their name. I have a long list on my home computer, but some that come to mind are Black Kids, Black Keys, Black Ghosts, Black Lips, Black Crowes, Black Sabbath, Blackfield, Black Heart Procession, Black Moth Super Rainbow, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Frank Black, … and while we’re at it, Jim Noir and Mano Negra.

Jesse, good comment! I was thinking of printing when I wrote that because when I create colors I do 100% of CMYK to make a rich black. You can’t create a black unless you use pigment. But, yes, you’re right!

Black seems to be a popular color in music…I’m looking forward to seeing what James comes up with.
